About Us
The Professional Bartending Institute of Pittsburgh opened its doors to the Public in 1978. Our school is independently owned and is licensed by the Pennsylvania Board of Private Licensed Schools.
Our goal is to provide superior training to students behind “real” bars with actual equipment. Our school has earned the reputation from our graduates and local employers as the best bartending school in the Pittsburgh area.
Our facility offers 6 fully-operational bar stations. Our three licensed instructors have over 25 years experience in bartending. As a student you will learn over 175 drinks with hands on training. Our students will also leave with training in customer service skills. We also offer RAMP (State Responsible Alcohol Certification Program) and a Bar Flair Course.
Once you successfully complete the program you will receive a certification as a professional mixologist. You will also be entitled to our lifetime local and national job placement assistance program.
Our Pittsburgh
bartending school also offers free refresher courses to keep you sharp. Our program is designed to educate you with or without previous bartending experience. |

Our bartending school is conveniently located just three miles south of downtown Pittsburgh. We are located in Dormont, straight out West Liberty Avenue from the Liberty Tunnels.
The nearest bus stop to the school is right out front, and the school is only three block from the trolley stop. Metered parking is available in the parking lot out front. The address to the school is 2961 West Liberty Avenue, Suite 217, Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
